Garage Fridge-Freezer Combo Running Hot
A dual-compressor garage fridge/freezer was struggling to keep the freezer side cold during peak summer heat.

Symptom
Freezer side wasn't holding temperature during the hottest part of the day, even though the fridge side was fine. No error codes, compressors both audibly running.
What We Found
This unit runs dual compressors, one per compartment. The freezer-side compressor and its condenser fan were both caked in dust and lint from the garage environment, restricting airflow right when ambient garage temperatures were already pushing 100°F+. The compressor was working, just badly starved for cooling air.
How We Fixed It
Cleaned both compressor bays thoroughly, checked fan operation on each side, and confirmed refrigerant charge was within spec on the freezer circuit once airflow was restored.
Fix time: Same-visit, about 90 minutes
Garage-installed fridges take more airflow-related wear than indoor units. A yearly compressor-bay cleaning goes a long way, especially heading into an Arizona summer.
